MagMatrix New Sulfate Magnesium Oxide Board for Interior Uses

Everyone should be familiar with magnesium board. Magnesium board, commonly known as magnesium oxide board, is an inorganic mineral board like cement fiberboard and gypsum board. It is widely used in interior decoration as wall panels, ceilings, etc. Magnesium board is a new non-combustible decorative material mainly composed of stable magnesium cementitious materials, medium-alkaline glass fiber mesh as reinforcing material, and lightweight materials as fillers. It is trendy among consumers among all building decoration materials. When decorating, magnesium board is the most basic intermediate material. It must be processed and made into the structure of various decorative works before it can be officially used. It is then finished with latex paint, wallpaper, and ceramic wall tiles to complete the decoration, and it is straightforward to use.

Material components for producing magnesium oxide boards:

Active high-purity magnesium oxide (MgO), high-quality magnesium sulfate (MgSO4 liquid), alkali-resistant fiberglass cloth, extremely flexible plant fiber, non-combustible and lightweight perlite, chemically stable lithopone, polymer Polymers, high-performance modifiers.

Product specifications: 2400×1200, 2440×1830, 1830×915. The central thicknesses are 3mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, and 18mm.

Product Features

MagMatrix's new sulfate magnesium board is high temperature resistant, flame retardant, sound-absorbing, shockproof, insect-proof, waterproof and moisture-proof, lightweight and anti-corrosive, non-toxic, odorless, and pollution-free. It can be directly painted, veneered, air-nailed, and directly tiled. The surface has good colorability, strength, bending resistance, and toughness. It can be nailed, sawed, and glued, and it is easy to decorate. It can also be combined with various insulation materials to make composite boards.

Product Usage: It can be used as wall panels, ceiling panels, fireproof boards, waterproof boards, packaging boxes, etc. It can replace wooden plywood to make wall skirts, window panels, door panels, furniture, and other appliances for interior decoration. It can also be used as mixed and clear water paint as needed. , and can be processed into various types of panels. It can also be used in projects in humid environments such as basements, civil air defense, and mines. It can also be combined with various insulation materials to make composite panels.

Use of the new sulfate magnesium board: The magnesium board is the most basic intermediate material and must be surface decorated before it can be officially used. Therefore, the glass magnesium board is the same as the wood board. It can be made through sawing, planing, nailing, and other processing techniques. It forms the structure of various decorative works. Then, it uses surface latex paint, wallpaper, and ceramic wall tiles (waterproof gypsum board should be used) as the final decoration to complete the decoration project.

The magnesium boards can be divided into two categories for interior decoration uses:

1. Magnesium fireproof board for the interior lining board as the fire-resistant wallboard

2. Magnesium veneer panels are made of flame-retardant-facing materials, including paper, plastic, wood, aluminum, etc., and are made by pressing on advanced equipment. Combustion performance is national A1 level

The uses of magnesium board are as follows for interiors:

It can be used as wall panels, ceiling panels, fireproof boards, waterproof boards, packaging boxes, etc. It can replace wooden plywood to make dado skirts, doors, windows, panels, furniture, etc. The surface can also be coated with mixed or clear water paint as needed and can be processed into various boards. It can also be used in projects in humid environments such as basements and mines and can be combined with different insulation materials to make composite insulation panels.

Therefore, the use of glass magnesium board is the same as that of wood boards. It can be made into various decorative works through sawing, planing, nailing, and other processing techniques. The structure is then finished with latex paint, wallpaper, and ceramic wall tiles to complete the decoration project. It can be widely used in furniture substrates, fire doors, bathroom partitions, stone composites, decorative panels, sculpture decorations, load-bearing panels, packaging, industrial equipment insulation panels, artificial stone composite baseboards, electrical heat-resistant panels, building templates, and air-conditioning duct base materials. It is a multi-functional, inorganic, fireproof, and waterproof board. In addition, as one of the optional panels for suspended ceilings, the glass magnesium board is environmentally friendly and energy-saving; it can be sawed, nailed, glued, painted, and brushed. It is suitable for basic boards for indoor and outdoor suspended ceilings in homes, office buildings, hotels, shopping malls, hospitals, airports, subways, libraries, conference venues, sports fields, museums, factories, etc., with ceramic tiles and the like glued on top.

The characteristics of magnesium oxide board are as follows for the interior uses:

Glass magnesium board is highly temperature-resistant, flame-retardant, sound-absorbing, and shock-proof. It is also waterproof, moisture-proof, insect-proof, lightweight, anti-corrosive, non-toxic, tasteless, and pollution-free. The surface is good-colored and can be painted, veneered, or tiled. The board is also solid, bending-resistant, and challenging. It can be sawed, nailed, and glued, making it hugely convenient for decoration.

Next, let’s take a look at the use methods and precautions of magnesium board for interior uses of the decoration fields

Interior partition wallboard

(1) Board: Generally, it is recommended to use a glass magnesium board with a thickness of 8MM or more as a partition board.

(2) Accessories: Plates above 6MM are fixed on the frame keels with 3.5200MM countersunk galvanized screws, with the nail heads 0.5MM lower than the board surface to ensure a smooth finish.

(3) Installation: When starting the installation, the exact position of the keel must be marked and marked. The center distance of vertical keels is 450-600MM. Additional keels must be installed at the wall joints and on both sides of doors and windows. If the wall height is more remarkable than 2440MM, supporting keels must be installed at the joints of the panels.

4) Plate distance: The gap between adjacent plates is 4-6MM, and there must be a gap of 3MM-5MM between the plate and the ground. The center distance of screw installation is 150MM, 10MM from the edge of the plate, and 30MM from the corner of the plate.

(5) Suspension: The places where heavy objects are hung in the bathroom or kitchen must be reinforced with wooden boards or keels to prevent the boards from being damaged.

(6) Seam treatment: During installation, leave a gap of 4-6MM between the boards. Use 107 glue or strong glue to mix thoroughly, a scraper to smear the boards and gaps, and then use grid tape to flatten them.

(7) Paint decoration: You can use spraying, brushing, or rolling, but you must refer to the relevant instructions for the paint when brushing.

8) Ceramic tiles on decorative surfaces: When installing in wet areas such as bathrooms, toilets, kitchens, basements, etc., if you need to tile tiles on the board surface, the distance between the keels must be shortened to 400MM. There must be an expansion joint in every three panels (about 3.6 meters) of the wall.

(9) Sound insulation wall: If the wall needs to have a high sound insulation effect, the wall and the board must be tightly combined and sealed, and then the empty wall should be filled with mineral wool. For example, the sound insulation results better when two boards of different thicknesses are used on both sides of the keel.

(10) Impact-resistant wall: It is recommended that you choose a board above 12-15MM and reinforce it with longer screws. This approach enhances impact resistance, thermal insulation, sound insulation, and fire resistance.
